Rent in Fullerton is to expensive, unaffordable and impossible to pay on a minimum wage salary. As a renter in Fullerton, Tony Castro has experienced this problem first hand. In October of 2022, his own rent will be raised from $1,800 a month to $2,300 a month, for a one bedroom apartment. A 30% increase in rent is unacceptable! This will only cause more poverty, homelessness and crime in the City of Fullerton. It's time for the government, including the Fullerton City Council, to get involved and regulate these wealthy investors and protect the best interest of the people. Since Tony Castro refuses money from corporate and special interest lobbyists, he is free to fight for Rent Control.
