Tony Castro was the co-coordinator of Rescue Education California and lead a rally on the Capitol steps in Sacramento, California. Rescue Education California was founded in the early 1990's by Professor Peter Mathews during Governor Pete Wilson's Gubernatorial term. The grassroots, ad hoc organization was originally fighting to block tuition increases proposed by Governor Pete Wilson, and smaller class sizes k-12. Rescue Education California successfully contributed in stopping proposed tuition hikes in California in 2005.
